    • Attended on full scholarship.

    • Completed comprehensive exams "with distinction."

  • Consultant - Cultural Heritage Expert and Community-Driven Development Program Consultant, The World Bank, 2000-2004.

  • United States Advisory Council for Historic Preservation delegate to UNESCO's Integrated Territorial and Urban Conservation Program in Rome, Italy, 1999.

  • Visiting Scholar and Researcher, University of Rome and the Italian National Research Council on "The Future of Cities" (Futuri delle Città), 1998-1999.
